  • the film does not fit into any of the Bitfilm categories (the Bitfilm team may put the film into another, more suitable category than the one chosen by the submitting person)
  • the film violates any laws of the European Union or the Federal Republic of Germany
  • the film does not match the artistic standards of the Bitfilm Festival which are subjectively defined by the Bitfilm team

The Voting Process

As soon as the pre-selected films are presented on the website by September 7, 2006 the audience may vote for the film by giving 0 to 5 stars to a film, 5 stars being the best rating. Users may actively promote films by recommending them to their friends. The five films in each category with the most votes by October 5, 12 AM CET are nominated. The nominated films in every category qualify for the final election until October 25, 2006. Votes after October 5 and votes until October 5 are added.

Filmmakers' Awards

The film with the most votes in each category by October 25, 12 AM CET wins the award, which is symbolised by the Bitfilm Robot statue. The prize money in 3D SPACE and FX MIX is 2500 Euros each.
